Troubled, Advance Auto (AAP) jumps 57% as tariffs are actually helping their business. The aftermarket car parts retailer which stock has lost two-thirds of its value over the past five years is doing well in the short term as tariffs and other inflationary pressures have incentivized many consumers to repair rather than replace their vehicles.

Another retailer taking a hit. Williams Sonoma (WSM) fell 4% following better than expected earnings. Sonoma beat by 9 cents as sales rose 4% to $1.73 billion. The company reaffirmed guidance, but did say gross margins were lower as the company will try to absorb tariff costs. The tariffs will also create headwinds and macro uncertainty.
