Comcast (CMCSA) rose 5% as they expand into Connecticut while also opting out of bidding for Warner Brothers Discovery streaming and studio business. In Connecticut, Comcast expanded its network to 22,000 customers, but investors might be more relieved that Comcast won’t spend billions to try and buy out Warner Brothers. Comcast is also looking to spin off their Versant Media Group as a stand alone stock.
Oil and energy stocks keep pushing lower. The price of oil is down over 2% to $55 a barrel, lowest level since 2021on surplus concerns. Progress in Ukraine peace deal is also lending support to less concern about supply issues.
