Honeywell (HON) higher on better than expected earnings. Honeywell beat by 25 cents as revenues rose 7.0% to $10.41 billion. Guidance for 2026 was better than expected as their aerospace segment reported record third quarter sales. Sales from the defense and space business increased 10% on robust global demand. Honeywell is planning to spin off the division.
T-Mobile (TMUS) took a hit following better than expected earnings. T Mobile beat by a penny as sales rose 8.9% to $21.96 billion. Total postpaid net customer additions of 2.3 million were the best-ever and best in industry. However, investors are worried wireless competition has intensified which could hurt profit margins going forward. AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile have increased subsidies on mobile phones amid Apple’s roll out of higher priced iPhone 17 models.
