Earnings season is here. The financials are in focus with a number of big banks reporting earnings. Wells Fargo (WFC) is up 7% on better than expected earnings as revenue rose 5.3% to $21.44 billion. Wells Fargo had strong guidance with improved profitability metrics as the Federal Reserve removes some regulatory restraints the bank has been operating under for more than seven years. JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs are lower on earnings.

Trade uncertainty with China persists. Coinbase (COIN) a major exchange for cryptocurrencies is down over 2% as the cryptocurrencies get hit, down 3% or more, on a risk off trade as China considers rolling out series of trade countermeasures against the U.S.
