StubHub (STUB) came public today. The online ticket agent is facing more competition from Live Nation and Vivid Seats. StubHub is raising $800 million today, giving it a valuation of $8.6 billion. StubHub was founded in 2000, was bought by eBay in 2007 for $310 million and then sold to European ticket reseller Viagogo in 2020 for more than $4 billion.
Uber (UBER) gets more competition. The share-riding company is down 4% as competitor, Lyft has struck a deal with Google owned, Waymo to provide driverless or robotaxi hauling in Nashville next year. Uber is making news adding an Uber Safaris in Kenya to enter the $4 billion industry.
