NVIDIA (NVDA) is up 1.5% as they work on a new more powerful chip to sell to China. The stock hovers just below all time highs. Intel (INTC) is up a percent after jumping on Friday on news the U.S. government is taking a 9.9% stake in the company after giving the money billions in the US Chips Act.
Furniture importers are taking a hit as Trump over the weekend warned of furniture tariffs. Williams-Sonoma (WSM) is down 2% while Wayfair (W) and RH (RH) are both lower by 5%. President Trump said the U.S. will be conducting a major investigation of furniture imports over the next 50 days. These companies and stocks could be subject to a tariff rate that has yet to be determined.
