Constellation Energy (CEG) jumps 3% after the nuclear power company agreed to a 20 year agreement with Meta to provide energy to meet the soaring demand for AI data centers. Constellation was already having a good year, up over 30% as the Trump administration passed executive orders aiming to expand US nuclear energy capacity.
Profit-taking in CME Group (CME). The leading global derivatives marketplace is down 3% as they posted a new record for May with an average daily volume (ADV) of 28.9 million contracts, up 11% year-over-year. Cryptocurrency trading was another area of strong performance, with ADV climbing 145% to 197,000 contracts. Farmer sentiment improved for the second consecutive month in May, reaching its highest level since May 2021.
