Caterpillar (CAT) jumps 11% on earnings. The company best known for yellow bulldozers and mining trucks is jumping today thanks to strong demand for their generators and turbines to run AI data centers. So now Caterpillar is the new AI play for investors. Caterpillar stock is now up over 50% for the year.

Boeing (BA) pulls back 4% as it pushes out the 777x deliveries until 2027 due to certification delays. Boeing will take a $4.9 billion charge for the delays. On the plus side, Boeing did deliver 160 planes in the third quarter, the most since 2018. Their backlog continues to grow to $5900 planes worth $636 billion.
