Taiwan Semi (TSM) says AI spending is alive and well. The chip manufacturing giant is  up 6% on strong earnings as revenue rose 25% to $33.7 billion. Taiwan went on to raise guidance and cap ex spending as demand remains robust. Taiwan’s guidance is lifting the whole sector.

Eli Lilly (LLY) is down 4% on concerns of more competition in 2026 for obesity drugs. 2026 could be the year of obesity drugs as companies like Novo Nordisk presented at JP Morgan conference that their weight lost drug is in pill form instead of injections. UBS upgraded Novo Nordisk.
