Walmart (WMT) getting into the drone business. The retail giant is up 3% on plans to expand drone delivery options to 150 additional stores over the next year, according to a Sunday release. The launch will allow more than 40 million Americans to utilize drones for delivery. Walmart, in partnership with Google’s Wing unit, plans to establish a network of over 270 drone delivery locations by 2027. The new service areas will include Los Angeles, St. Louis, Cincinnati and Miami, with more to be announced in the near future. Not sure if they are coming to Central New York.
The banks and credit card are taking a hit on Trump comments. Visa (V), American Express (AXP), Mastercard (MA) and Citigroup (C ) are all down 2% or more as President Trump would like to cap credit card interest rates at 10% to help ease affordability concerns of consumers. The Trump administration is also considering litigation against the Federal Reserve which is also raising some concerns in the financial space.
