Boeing (BA) jumps 4% after rallying 6% the other day as news broker today the Trump Administration will award they a $20 billion fighter jet contract over Lockheed Martin. The next-gen jet will be called the F-47, Trump said during the press conference and will be replace the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor. Lockheed is down 6%.
FedEx (FDX) drops 8% on earnings. The global package carrier missed earnings by 5 cents as sales rose 2%. Guidance was not great as management sees no significant improvement to the macro environment in the first fiscal half of the year. Loop Capital analyst Rick Paterson downgraded the to a Sell from Hold saying FedEx is a really bad recession stock and does not expect business to get better any time soon. Thirteen of the more than 30 analysts that offer coverage on FactSet cut their stock price targets early Friday.
