Gap (GAP) is up 11% on strong earnings. The denim and jean manufacturer that owns Gap, Old Navy, Athleta, and Banana Republic easily beat estimates by 16 cents as sales fell 3.5% to $4.15 billion, ahead of estimates. Management is happy with their brand campaigns that have driven and attracted a new generation to Gap, while at the same time, reinforcing the popular and familiar brands customers love.
Broadcom (AVGO) one of the few techs higher following earnings. Broadcom is up 3% after beating by 9 cents as sales rose 24% to $14.92 billion. Broadcom also provided upside guidance driven by AI semiconductor solutions and infrastructure software which grew 77% and 47% respectively. The rest of the chip sector is struggling to rally. Nvidia is lower.
