Topgolf Callaway (MODG) starts the new year on the plus side with an upgrade at Jefferies. The golfing conglomerate is up 13% today as an analyst at Jefferies raised his price target to $13 a share saying the sum-of-the-parts of the company's businesses are worth much more than the current stock price with a lower valuation than competitor, Acushnet Holdings, which is growing much slower than Callaway.

Tesla (TSLA) stock falls 5% as the company experienced its first ever drop in annual sales with 1.789 million in new car sales for 2024. After a great run up, the stock has been on a five day slide back below $400 for the first time in three weeks. Tesla is expected to launch a lower-priced EV in 2025 while robotaxi's remain the future for Tesla.
