Blackstone (BX) jumps 6% to a new all-time high on strong earnings, up 40% as sales rose 8% to $1.79 billion. Assets under management jumped 10% to a record $1.11 trillion and total inflows for the quarter rose to $40 billion. During the previous quarter Blackston invested or committed $54 billion while deploying $123 billion in the last 12 months.

CSX (CSX) fall 6% inching closer to a 52 week low after missing earnings by 3 cents and missing sales of $3.62 billion. The railroad company expects modest growth in the fourth quarter. The recent hurricanes in the southeast have not helped business. To make matters worse, the company disclosed a subpoena from the SEC regarding accounting restatement the company may have to do.
