Tesla (TSLA) getting added to the S&P 500. Tesla is up 7% to a two month high after news the S&P 500 will add it to its index on Dec. 21st. With five consecutive quarters of profitability behind it and now the 10th largest US company by market cap, the electric-car maker became eligible to join the S&P 500 index fund earlier this year.
Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) and CVS Health (CVS) taking a hit. The drug store stocks are lower by 8% after Amazon introduced its online pharmacy business today with deals for Prime members with drug discounts of up to 80% on generics and 40% on brand medications.
