Nothrop Grumman (NOC) trading up 3% due to tensions with Iran. President Donald Trump's withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal today has many defense stocks trading higher. Trump has long threatened to scrap the 2015 deal, saying the Obama administration negotiated a bad deal for the United States. One defense stock not trading higher is Boeing (BA) down a percent as they will probably lose a multi-billion deal to sell planes to Iran.
Comcast (CMCSA) taking a hit down 5% on rumors they will make a bid for 21st Century Fox. The NBCUniversal and CNBC parent is preparing for a possible all-cash bid for 21st Century Fox's entertainment assets, according to sources. Fox currently has an agreement in place to sell those assets to Walt Disney for $52.4 billion in stock. Looks like someone will be paying more for those assets.
