Diamonds and Dogs

Joy today at JoyGlobal  (JOY). The mining equipment manufacturer company is up 19% after agreeing to be bought out by industrial manufacturing giant, Komatsu Ltd. Good news for the industrials, but even with the buyout, the stock is still half the value it was back in 2015. The analyst at BB&T Corp. today upgraded the stock from "underweight" to a "neutral." Thanks for nothing.

No love at Southwest Airlines (LUV). Southwest is diving 11% dragging down the airlines following disappointing earnings and guidance. Add insult to injury, Southwest Airlines had a computer glitch the other day that caused major outages forcing Southwest to cancel or delay hundreds of flights.
