Diamonds and Dogs

Your dream might have come true with today's diamond. DreamWorks Animation (DWA) is surging higher by 17% today thanks to rumors that Comcast may make a $3 billion offer for the company. Comcast currently owns Universal Pictures which created "Minions" and "Despicable Me." With the merger, Comcast would have a greater foothold in China and Asia. Currently, Comcast-NBCU are building a $3.3 billion theme park in Beijing with local investors. It's slated to open in 2019.
I had a little blue bird fly by and tell me that today's dog is falling out of the sky. Twitter (TWTR) is once again in the limelight as their shares tank by 15.5% closing in on a 52 week low. The company missed first-quarter revenue expectations and issued a downbeat outlook. The company saw a decline in user growth brand advertisers. Not a good sign. One analyst mentioned that with revenue growth showing significant deceleration, they have less confidence in the earnings power for the Twitter platform. Looks like management needs to brand their company better.
