Anacor Pharmaceuticals (ANAC)

Anacor Pharmaceuticals share price is up 57% to $133, continuing its hot streak for 2015. Anacor developed a topical lotion that cleared eczema skin rash better than a placebo. Now, the company is seeking U.S approval for the lotion in the first half of next year. Anticipation for the lotion's study results had already caused the company's stock to rise 162% this year. Investors are now anticipating continuous growth from the company after the positive results.

Ascena Retail (ASNA)

The apparel retailer, Ascena Retail, is down 15.6% today after lowering its guidance for FY15. Management said that earnings of 57 cents to 60 cents per share are expected compared to the original guidance of 70 cents to 75 cents. This change was due to a reduction in promotional activity and lower sales of Spring/Summer merchandise. Ascena's stock had been performing well year-to-date, and, even with this drop, RBC Capital Markets expects the company to "Outperform" with a price target of $18.
