DepoMed, Inc. is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on products for neurology, pain and diseases for the central nervous system. After news that Horizon Pharmaceutical proposes to buy DepoMed for 1.75 billion, the company's shares are up 36.17% to 28.10. The California based pharmaceutical company looks to relieve the pain of the volatile market.
Alibaba Group Holding Limited (BABA)
Alibaba was down .79% today to 79.60 as China stocks continue to plunge. Alibaba is an e-commerce company based in China, providing consumer-to-consumer, business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales services by web portals. China's growth is slowing, but the growth in China is still considered the fastest growing amongst the top ten economies in the world. Therefore, Alibaba will rebound and continue to grow as systemic risk decreases and the clouds clear.
