Williams Partners L.P. (WPZ)
Williams Partners is on fire today, up 22.30% to $57.97. The natural gas company saw its shares pop after news that Williams Co. would buy its subsidiary (Williams Partners) in an all-stock deal valued at $13.8 billion. Williams Co., an energy infrastructure company, reported that the acquisition will add $5.4 billion in earnings to its balance sheet in 2016. Shares of Williams Partners rallied over $10.50 today but never hit its 52-week high of $62.95.
EZchip Semiconductor Ltd. (EZCH)
EZchip is not making it easy for its investors to make money today, down 25.01% to $14.67. The semiconductor company saw its shares tank after reporting a loss of $8.3 million for the first quarter (reported a profit for the same period last year). Revenue for the quarter was $26.9 million, but earnings per shares came in at a loss of $0.28. Shares of EZchip dropped nearly $5.00 today and hit a new 52-week low of $14.30 intraday.
