CarMax Inc. (KMX)

CarMax is driving its price higher today, up 8.85% to $74.44. The used car retailer saw its shares spike after better than expected earnings. For the quarter, CarMax management announced net sales of $3.51 billion beating analysts' estimates of $3.50 billion. Furthermore, the company announced that it earned $0.67 per share (a 52% increase compared to the same quarter last year), again beating analysts' forecast of $0.60 per share. Shares of CarMax rallied nearly $6.00 today to a new 52-week high of $75.40 intraday.

Universal Truckload Services Inc. (UACL)

Universal Truckload is watching its shares get dumped today, down 14.51% to $21.33. The multi-national transportation company saw its shares sell off after worse than expected earnings. Universal Truckload posted a net income of $10.5 million or $0.35 per share, which missed analyst's estimates of $0.40 per share. The company did beat on revenue estimates, $302.5 million vs. $297.5 million. Shares of Universal Truckload fell over $3.50 today, and hit a new 52-week low of $20.91.
