Mannatech Incorporated (MTEX)

Mannatech Inc is a high flyer today, up 52.03% to $21.36. The nutritional supplement and skin care product company saw its shares explode after a solid earnings report. For the third quarter, the company announced that revenues were up 25.3% to $55.6 million. The increase in revenue helped earnings per share which came in at $1.89 versus $0.30 last year. Shares of Mannatech ran up over $7.00 today but were shy of their 52-week high of $29.91.

Herbalife Ltd. (HLF)

Herbalife is crashing and burning today, down 20.48% to $44.45. The nutritional company saw its shares fall after missing on earnings. For the quarter, Herbalife management announced revenue of $11.2 million or $0.13 per share. That's down an incredible 92% from the $142 million ($1.32 per share) last year. The company said it was hurt by a $139.5 million charge related to Venezuelan currency, along with other special items. Wall Street was expecting Herbalife to earn $1.51 per share. Shares of the company fell nearly $11.50 today; that's great news if your Bill Ackman but not if you're a long investor.
