Trio-Tech International (TRT)

Trio-Tech is on fire today, up 21.95% at $4.00. The semi-conductor equipment company saw its shares spike after better than expected earnings. For the fourth quarter, the company announced the revenue increased 10.2% to $9.38 million or $0.07 per share. Both numbers beat last year's numbers of $8.51 million and $0.01 per share, respectively. Gross margin also increased 31% year over year. Shares of Trio-Tech climbed as high as $4.22 intraday but fell shy of their 52-week high of $5.44.

Arrowhead Research Corp. (ARWR)

Arrowhead Research is shooting itself in the foot today, down 47.80% to $6.53. The pharmaceutical company saw its shares fall after disappointing data from their trials. For the companies Hepatitis B trial, ARC-520 was dosed at 2mg/kg and induced a 0.3 log reduction in HBsAG. Investors were expecting a 1.0 log reduction. Arrowhead said that they would continue trials with increased dosage in order to obtain a more robust effect. Shares of Arrowhead hit a new 52-week low of $5.48 intraday.
