United Health Group Incorporated (UNH)United Health Group is looking a little under the weather today, down 5.09% at $71.36. The health insurer saw its shares drop after releasing third quarter earnings. UnitedHealth earned $1.57 billion, or $1.53 per share on revenue 0f $30.62 billion. Analysts expected earnings of $1.53 per share on $30.86 billion in revenue. Furthermore, the company increased their full year EPS forecast to $5.50 from $5.40 but that is still below analyst estimates of $$5.52 per shares. The slight misses on revenue and full year EPS seem to be bothering investors today as shares lost over $3.80. UNH shares are still well above their 52-week low of $51.09.
SanDisk Corp. (SNDK)
SanDisk Corp is trading in the green today, up 8.75% at $68.45. The flash storage company saw its shares skyrocket after better than expected earnings and guidance. Last night, SanDisk reported Q3 adjusted EPS of $1.59 and revenue of $1.63 billion. Analysts' estimates were $1.32 and $1.57 billion, respectively. The company forecast revenue of $1.65-$1.725 billion for the fourth quarter, above analysts' consensus of $1.67 billion. In addition, SanDisk's full year guidance for revenue was raised to the high end of its prior forecast of $5.95-$6.05 billion, which is in line with Wall Street's estimates. The better than expected news led analyst, Rajvindra Gill to increase his price target to $90 from $80. SanDisk shares hit a new 52-week high of $68.55 intraday.
