Barnes & Noble Inc. (BKS)

What the market gives, that market takes away. Barnes and Noble was up big last week on rumors that Microsoft wanted to but the company's Nook. Today, B&N shares are down 9.48% at $21.10 after those rumors were hushed. A new report released today stated that Microsoft is not interested in buying the Nook, because they already have their own tablet (Surface). The news of the deal possibly not happening left investors selling to try to take any profits they could. Barnes & Noble shares lost over $2.20 today, but are still up near their 52-week highs.

SolarCity Corporation (SCTY)

SolarCity is shining today up, 24.24% at $35.88. The solar company saw its shares jump $7.00 after it released its quarterly earnings report. For the quarter, the company announced better than expected revenue of $29.98 million. Analysts' were expecting SolarCity to have revenue of $29.2 million. Aside from better earnings, the company has had some light shined on them due to the fact that Elon Musk is SolarCity's chairman. Musk is Telsa Motors CEO and has done a great job with the company which has recently been on a tear. Investors are hopeful that Musk can help do the same with SolarCity. Shares traded to a new 52-week of $39.00 intraday.
