Guidewire Software (GWRE) jumps on earnings. The online property and casualty insurer jumps 16% to a new high as earnings beat by 42 cents as revenues rose 22.0% to $293.51 million. Guidewire also raised guidance adding a quarterly record of 17 cloud deals with strong ongoing momentum across tier-1 and tier-2 (insurance) carriers and international markets.
CrowdStrike (CRWD) shareholders on strike. The software giant is down 5% following earnings. Earnings were better than expected. The guidance was good and they did initiate a share buyback, but at least three analysts downgraded the stock as Bank of America said there is limited valuation upside and increased risk to growth.
